She was interred at the Quaker Meeting House. 15. Hester was a widow by 1679, but had no children by John Beard suggesting they had just married. If she was about 16, then born ca 1663. 16. Anne Arundel Co., MD Land Records SY#1:23-24. 25 March 1724 Stephen Warman and Hester his wife, formerly the widow of John Beard, to Thomas Bordley, the guardian and next friend of Richard Beard a minor, the grandson and heir at law of Richard Beard, late of Anne Arundel County. Richard Beard, the great-grandfather of the minor devised to the wife of the said John Beard her life in the land. John died without issue whereby the estate descended to Richard the minor. Stephen Warman and wife Hester for 5 shilling gave said Bordley for the use of the minor, all their rights to the lands that Richard Beard, the grandfather owned at his death. See #4 that Hester (Gassaway) Gross was the wife of Stephen Warman. 17. Maryland Testamentary Proceedings, 11:9-10, 3 April 1679 Hester Beard, widow of John Beard, was granted the administration on his estate in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Col. William Burges was appointed to administer the oath to her. 18. Maryland Testamentary Proceedings, 11:103-104 Col. William Burges exhibited the 2 May 1679 oath of Hester Beard, admininstratrix of John Beard of Anne Arundel County. Her security were Anne Gassaway and John Green. [Anne Gassaway was her mother] 19.
