Westmorld: S. S.
In the name of God Amen I William Smoot of the said County in Copley parish
do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form
following. 
   Impr's I give my soul into the hand of Almighty God my creator and my
body to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named
and as for my worldly Estate that it hath pleased God to bless me with all
I give it as followeth
   Item I give unto my daughters Sarah and Whinneyfrut Smoot the land
whereon I now live to be equally divided only it is my wish that my
daughter Sarah Smoot have that part upon the river to them & the heirs
of their bodies lawfully begotten.
   Item It is my will if either of them should die without such issue then
to the survivor and in case both of them die without such issue lawfully
begotten, then it is my will and meaning that my daughter Mary Smoot have
the said to her and her heirs forever.
   Item I give to my loving Ellinor Smoot all that land in Stafford County
at Acquiah to her and her assigns forever.
   Item I give unto my daughter Mary Smoot three thousand pounds of tobacco
and a feather bed to be paid her at the day of her marriage.
   Item I give and bequeath unto my two sons William and Thomas Smoot to 
each of them a heifer of three year old and the future increase to them and
their heirs forever.
   Item It is my will that my loving wife Ellinor Smoot have the care and
tuission of two sons William and Thomas Smoot till they come to the age
of one and twenty.
   Item I do hereby constitutute and appoint my loving wife Ellinor Smoot
to bee the sole Executor of this my last will and testament.  In witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twelfth day of April in
the fifth year of the reign of our Soverign Lady Ann Queen of England
Scotland, France and Ireland and in the year of our Lord one thousand
seaven hundred and six.
