In the name of the benevolent Father of all I James Hood of Chester,
Meigs County, Ohio do make & publish this my last will & testament as
follows. (to wit)
   I give and bequeath to my two daughters Jane and Sarah Hood all the
personal property of every kind & description of which I may die
possessed.  (Except money on hand & debts due me) to be equally divided
between them to use & dispose of as they please.
   I will & direct that as soon as practicable after my decease all debts
due me be collected by my executors hereinfater named, and all the real
estate of which I my die be seized be by my said executors sold either at
public or private sale as they may deem most advantageous, and that 
after the payment of all my just debts, funeral expenses & costs of 
Administration the remainder by equally divided between my son William
& my six daughters Margaret, Ann, Nancy, Jane, Mary & Sarah to share
and share alike, I having heretofore advanced to my son James his
proportion of my estate.  I do hereby constitute & appoint Nathaniel
Douglass and John C. Bestow of Chester sole executors of this my last
will & testament with full power and authority to carry in this my last
will in to full & complete effect, hereby annulling & revoking all other
or former wills by me made.  In testimony where of I hereunto set my
hand & seal this 22 day of May A. D. 1845.
