IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN I Archibald Stroud of the County of Wilson & State
of Tennessee being in health & having a Sound disposing mind & believing
that it is appointed for men once to die & having a desire to dispose of the
worldly property God has given me in the manner & form following, to wit,
  Imprimis I will that all my Just debts be paid.
  Imprimis 2nd For the love & Good will that I bear to my beloved Wife
Elizabeth Stroud I bequeath her all my real estate together with all my
house hold & kitchen furniture my stock of Horses Cattle Hogs & Sheep
together with my farming utentials & during her natural life.
  Imprimis 3. Should there be a Surplus of property more than my wife
Elizabeth should need my Excutors hereafter named is authorized to sell
the same & apply the monies arriving from sd sale for the benefit of my
wife Elizabeth.
  Imprimis 4 Whereas on the marriages of my Children Patsey M. Stroud now
Johnson my son John M. Stroud & George W. Stroud I have given them by
estimation Sixty Dollars apeic[e]. I will that after the decease of my wife
elizabeth that all my estate both real & personal be sold on twelve months
credit & the monies arriving from the same after deducting Sixty Dollars
apeace from the part of my above name Children as a part of their
respective shares the Ballance be divided the rest be divided my Children
to wit. Patsy M. Stroud now Johnson Olive B Stroud Eddy M. Stroud John M.
Stroud Isabellah W. Stroud Polly L. Stroud George W. Stroud Louiasa V.
Stroud Archibald H. Stroud James R. Stroud Elizabeth L. Stroud Willis L.
Stroud Andrew T. Stroud & Joshua L. Stroud.
  I hereby apppoint olive B. Stroud & James R. Stroud my executors to this
my last will & Testament whereby revoking all others In Testimony whereof
I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this 26th day of February
in the year of our Lord 1836.
